Vote For Your Favourite Kallangur Water Tower Artwork Design

Unitywater has released three artwork designs for the Kallangur Water Tower, one of which will be painted on the tower in June.

The designs are based on the results of community consultation undertaken late last year, in which residents and businesses said they would like to see a design that attracted attention.

The community’s most popular themes were Anzac; Wildlife, Trees And Nature; and The Area’s Past, Present And Future.

The project artists have developed three designs based on the community’s input and Unitywater is now asking residents and business operators of Kallangur, Dakabin, Murrumba Downs and Petrie to select the final design through a public vote.

“Over the last few months we have been working with the appointed artists and Moreton Bay Regional Council to commission three concepts for the artwork – one for each of the top three themes to meet the community’s wishes,” Ms Cash said.

“This is a real community-driven project and each of these designs aims to celebrate a unique aspect of the local area.

“It’s fantastic to see the community’s ideas come to life in these designs and we encourage all residents and businesses to have their say on which design will be painted on the tower.”

Ms Cash said the public vote would be open from 1 – 14 May.
