National Tree Day – Mango Hill – 29 July 2018

For National Tree Day this Sunday the 29th, Chris Whiting MP is giving away free trees, and MBRC have 3 Tree Planting Community events happening.

Chris Whiting MP, the State Member for Bancroft is giving away free Australian Native Trees at 3 locations, with the closest one to Kallangur at Drakes IGA on Bounty Boulevard, at 1-2pm.

Locations Chris Whiting MP is handing out Free Native Trees, (sourced from his facebook page).

Early on Sunday morning, the MBRC Planting event which is closest to Kallangur, is at Mango Hill.

Families are welcome to participate in planting and talk to a local conservation manager, with the planting event followed by a sausage sizzle.

If you would like to participate, all volunteers are required to wear closed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, plus a long sleeve shirt and long plants. Gloves and tools will be provided.

Other locations include Samford Parklands in Samford Valley, and Morris Park in Elimbah.

When: 9-10am, Sunday 29th July, 2018

Where: Halpine Lakes Reserve, Jasper Place, Mango Hill.

Cost: Free.
